We loved riding this well maintained trail, the route that was carefully planned, the other 11 people from around the country that joined us, and the excellent, experienced leaders that cared well for all of the details. The landscape constantly changed, and all of it was breathtaking in its beauty, diversity, and expansiveness. We really appreciated having two days off of our bikes in order to be driven to other not-to-be missed sites far from the trail. Notably were the drive on the Needles Highway in Custer and the Wind Cave National Monument.

The experience of a life time. Seriously no exaggeration. Senior cycling runs bicycle centric vacations that are second to none. Read the trip itineraries on their website. If it looks like something you’d like. Trust me you will.

It sounds like exaggeration but my Great Allegheny Passage bike trip (June 1-6, 2026) with Senior Cycling was a lifetime highlight. No credit to Senior Cycling, but the weather was perfect. Credit to Senior Cycling for great organization, leadership, accommodations, meals... Senior Cycling has been arranging trips like this for a long time and the experience shows. As riders we were free to experience the beauty and history of the GAP trail and towns from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, MD. Now a fan of Senior Cycling I'm ready to sign on for the C&O Canal trip, the continuation of the route from Cumberland to Washington, DC.

Thank you Andrew, I'm glad you had such a wonderful time and it will be great to have you join us on the C&O. I never take credit (or responsibility :) for the weather, but we certainly strive on every other aspect of our tours that you cited and I'm very pleased that it shows. Russ is a terrific tour leader and I'm grateful to have him on our team. But then again, so are the rest!

The trip was superlative! The weather was perfect. The jeep tour was amazing! We think Jewel Cave might be more interesting than Wind Cave, (suggestion for next year), BUT we got up close and personal with bison in Wind Cave National Park, (we were in the van). Syvan Lake Lodge was great and there are a lot of hiking trails around there. Love the Black Hills!!! Jack and Maer are the best.
